I am energetic, playful, creative and intuitive in my counseling approach. My goal is to create a relationship set on reciprocal rapport, trust-building and connection with my clients. Working with kids is my jam and I especially like working with teenage girls. Within my work I utilize play techniques, music, art, and pop culture to allow for personal expression, open metaphors and relating of therapeutic ideas that increase movement toward change. I also work with adult issues and I have been very effective in working with young adults.
I have a strong interest in working with children that have Autism Spectrum Disorder or may possibly be on the Autism Spectrum. I really enjoy assisting parents of children on the spectrum better understand their child and their potentially complex needs, while also normalizing their experiences.
Further, I excel in understanding teens’ issues in the realm of social media. Social media can create very complex and difficult issues for all age groups, but it affects pre teens and teens more and more each year. I am always looking into the latest social media trends and platforms in order to “keep up” with what the kids are doing online that most parents are unaware of.
I earned my full licensure designation, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in December 2025, LABSWE license #17673. This was following 3 years of required supervised clinical work which was completed here in New Roads. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy for the treatment trauma, as well as it addressing many other issues.
Prior to earning my master’s in social work, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Health Marketing and Management from ULM in 2019.
Beginning in 2020, I worked as the Outreach Coordinator for RKM Primary Care. There, I acted as one of the Be Fit Summer Camp Directors for 3 summers. This is where I was inspired to return to school for my Masters Degree in Social Work. During my master’s degree, I completed my generalist internship at RKM Primary Care inside of the behavioral health clinic as well as in the East Feliciana Parish school system. I then completed my specialized internship and began working at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, LA.
Finally, because I have a background of working in the healthcare industry in several different areas, I feel this helps me have a better understanding of the complex dynamics involved in having a career in the medical field, which assists me in better helping my clients.
